Living 'Summer Snow' (Hydrangea paniculata Living Summer Snow 'LC NO5' PBR) is a panicle hydrangea with flowers that start the season greenish and end it pure white. The panicles open lime green, fade to cream in August, and are snow-white by September—there's practically no pink except for a delicate bloom on the fading inflorescences. They are also exceptionally large: the conical panicles reach up to 25 cm and consist entirely of sterile flowers, although the shrub itself stops at 1–1.2 m tall and about a meter wide. Flowering lasts from July to the end of September, and the plant is frost-tolerant down to -30 °C (USDA zones 4–8), and buds are set on the current year's growth, ensuring that spring frosts don't prevent blooming. This variety comes from the Dutch Living Creations® collection and was introduced in 2018.

The shrub produces short, strong, and upright stems. These stems ensure that even the most impressive inflorescences remain erect and don't bend easily under heavy rain. The dark green leaves, with their characteristic, slightly rough surface, provide a striking backdrop for the bright flowers.

After flowering, the panicles gradually wither, but they remain on the plant throughout the winter until spring. Covered with frost, they look particularly decorative. If the inflorescences are to be used in dried arrangements, it's best to harvest them while they're still greenish-cream in color. Flowers prepared this way dry well and retain their shape for a long time. Inflorescences cut in September, when completely white, take on a more creamy color after drying.
