Product description
Groundbreaker® Blush™ (Hydrangea paniculata 'LC NO21' PBR) is a true revolution in the hydrangea world – the world's first groundcover hydrangea from the award-winning Dutch LivingCreations® collection. Instead of growing upwards like classic varieties, Groundbreaker Blush spreads sideways, creating a low, dense carpet of conical inflorescences. Growing only about 30–40 cm tall and 60–80 cm wide, it blooms from July to the end of September (up to 100 days per season!) and is fully frost-hardy (down to -30°C), allowing it to be planted throughout Poland without winter protection.
The 'Blush' variety forms a compact, spreading shrub with strong, well-branched stems that securely support numerous inflorescences just above the ground. Dark green, ovate leaves create a dense backdrop for the light panicles. The flowers are pure white at the beginning of bloom, and as the season progresses – from September onwards – they delicately fade to a subtle pink-red hue, giving the variety its name, "Blush." After blooming, the dried inflorescences remain on the bush and adorn the garden well into autumn and winter. They also work well as cut flowers and in dried bouquets. Thanks to their exceptionally low, creeping habit, Groundbreaker® Blush™ is an ideal solution where other hydrangeas are too tall: as a flowering groundcover, for slopes, borders, and the front line of flower beds, for large pots, bowls, and balcony boxes, as well as for greening difficult, sunny areas.
