Hydrangea paniculata Living Summer Snow 'LC NO5' PBR) is a compact, spherical variety that grows in 3-4 years to approximately 1-1.2 m (3.3-4.5 ft) tall and 0.9-1.1 m (3.3-4.5 ft) wide. It blooms from July to late September, for about 100 days per season, and its panicles evolve from cool lime green to snowy white during this time: they open greenish, turn creamy in August, and are pure white by September. This is one of the few panicle hydrangeas that doesn't fade to pink—a delicate pink bloom appears only on the fading inflorescences. This variety blooms on current year's growth and is fully frost-hardy (down to -30°C (22°F), USDA zones 4-8).

The hallmark of hydrangea 'Summer Snow' is the size of its inflorescences relative to the size of the bush. The conical panicles grow to about 25 cm in length and consist exclusively of sterile flowers, and the shrub itself can fit into a meter with a little extra space. This variety belongs to the Dutch Living Creations® collection, selected for its stiff, non-clinging stems, long flowering period, and longevity.

The stems are short, stiff, and erect, allowing the large panicles to remain erect even after heavy rain. The dark green, ovate, roughly hairy leaves provide a pleasant contrast to the white flowers. After flowering, the panicles dry and remain on the shrub until spring, looking attractive covered with frost. For drying, the inflorescences are best cut while still greenish-cream, when the peduncles are firm—they dry evenly and hold their shape the longest. Cut in September, while still fully white, they produce a creamier shade. The variety was released in 2018.
