Product description

Living 'Sugar Rush' (Hydrangea paniculata 'LC NO11' PBR) is a white, panicle-shaped hydrangea that doesn't change color throughout the summer. While most varieties fade to pink in August, this one maintains a cool, pure white, with a barely visible pink bloom appearing on the faded panicles in September. The shrub is short and regular, growing to about 95 cm tall and similarly wide, forming a nearly spherical shape on stiff stems that don't droop after rain. It blooms from July to the end of September, for about 100 days, tolerates frosts down to -30°C (USDA zones 4–8), and sets buds on the current year's growth, so it blooms reliably every season. This variety was awarded a silver medal by the KVBC in Boskoop and is part of the Living Creations® collection; it is protected by law (EU57854).

The inflorescences are medium in size, but their sheer number makes the shrub exceptionally striking when in bloom. They are composed primarily of sterile flowers, so they remain decorative and attractive for a long time. They are borne on strong, stiff stems that withstand both heavy rainfall and the weight of the flowers – a characteristic feature of the Living series.

The white inflorescences also have a wide range of floral applications. They can be used to create fresh bouquets, wedding decorations, and dried plant arrangements. They retain their attractive appearance for a long time after drying, and their bright colors do not fade as significantly as those of many pink-flowered varieties.
