Product description
Living panicle hydrangea 'Little Love' (Hydrangea paniculata Living Little Love 'LC NO20' PBR) is a low-growing variety from the Dutch Living Creations® collection, recognizable by its flower shape: instead of the elongated cones typical of panicle hydrangeas, it forms short, compact, and slightly rounded panicles. 'Little Love' grows to approximately 90 cm tall and 80 cm wide, blooms from July to late September, and is frost-tolerant to -30 °C (USDA zones 4–8). The color changes throughout this period: the flowers open greenish, then fade to creamy white, and then turn a light, pastel pink in September. Flower buds, like all panicle hydrangeas, form exclusively on the current year's new growth.
The rounded shape of the panicles has practical implications: short inflorescences are lighter than conical ones, so the stiff stems hold them upright even after a downpour, and the entire shrub maintains a uniform, compact outline. Dark green, ovate leaves create a backdrop against which the greenish bloom is clearly visible, while the pastel pink doesn't look dull. Faded panicles dry out and remain on the shoots through the winter. For dry bouquets, it's best to cut them in their creamy state—their round shape makes them a good filler for the arrangement and doesn't require fanning like the elongated panicles of other varieties.
