Product description
Evergreen shrub with a dwarf, compact habit. After 10 years, it reaches approx. 0.5 - 0.6 m in height and a similar width. Young spring growths have an intense pink color, and then change color to green with a white edge. The flowers are white, collected in paniculate inflorescences. The main decoration of the shrub is its leaves.
Japanese Andromeda grows best in sunny or semi-shaded positions. The substrate should be acidic (as in the case of rhododendrons and azaleas), moderately moist and humus. The variety is recommended to be planted in a sheltered and sheltered place. Young plants are best covered for the winter.
Thanks to its small size and unusually colored leaves, it will be perfect for moors, next to other heath plants. Also suitable for growing in pots and containers. For planting singly or in groups.
