What does the blackberry fruit contain?

The valuable properties of blackberries were known to people in ancient times. The fruits contain i.a. sugars, organic acids, provitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C, pectins, tannins and mineral compounds (potassium, calcium and magnesium). They have a positive effect on the work of the digestive tract, have a calming effect (they are indicated in nervous disorders). The juice obtained from ripe blackberries works well as a compress for blemishes and impetigo. Root decoctions have a diuretic effect, and leaf infusions are diaphoretic. That is why they are used for all kinds of colds. They fight catarrh and facilitate breathing. To prepare a decoction of the leaves, put 1 teaspoon of dried leaves in a pot, pour a glass of water, then boil and leave for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to drink 3 times a day.
