Groundbreaker® Greeny™ (Hydrangea paniculata 'LC NO24' PBR) complements the groundbreaking Groundbreaker® groundcover series from the Dutch LivingCreations® collection – the world's first family of trailing hydrangeas. Where 'Blush' opts for pink and 'Ruby' for ruby red, 'Greeny' goes its own way: its conical blooms maintain a fresh, lime-green tone.
Groundbreaker 'Greeny' spreads low and wide, building a compact, flowering carpet just above the ground. It reaches approximately 30–40 cm tall and 60–80 cm wide, and its stems are strong and well-branched, confidently supporting numerous blooms without spreading out. It blooms from July to the end of September – up to 100 days of colorful display in a single year. After flowering, the dried inflorescences remain decorative in autumn and winter, and the variety is perfect for cut flowers and dried bouquets.
Fully frost-hardy (down to -30°C), 'Greeny' hydrangea can be grown throughout Poland without winter protection. Its low, groundcover habit makes it an ideal choice for areas where traditional bouquet hydrangeas are simply too tall: as a groundcover, for slopes, borders, and front lines of flower beds, in large pots, bowls, and balcony boxes, and for greening challenging, sunny areas.
