Product description

Hydrangea paniculata Living 'Pinky Promise' is a low, spherical variety growing to approximately 70–80 cm tall and 70 cm wide, producing exceptionally large, dense, and "heavy" panicles for its size. It blooms from July to the end of September (up to 100 days per season!)—the inflorescences open creamy white, then turn pink, and by the end of the season, they turn a rich, dark pink. This variety is fully frost-hardy (down to -30°C, USDA zones 4–8), blooms on current year's growth, and has been awarded a gold medal by the KVBC—Royal Horticultural Society in Boskoop.

Pinky Promise is a member of the award-winning Dutch Living Creations® collection—a family of hydrangeas distinguished by their long flowering, stiff, non-clinging stems, and long life. This is a great option for those who want large flower clusters on low-growing hydrangeas suitable for small gardens, patio borders, and pots. It reaches its full height within 3-4 years of planting.

The stems are stiff and upright, supporting the massive inflorescences even after heavy rain. Dark green, ovate, rough-haired leaves create a contrasting backdrop for the pinking panicles. The inflorescences are composed of sterile flowers, and the faded ones remain on the shrub, adorning the garden in autumn and winter—looking beautiful in frost and snow. They are also excellent for cut flowers and dried bouquets. Hydrangea 'Pinky Promise' was introduced in 2018.
