Fertilizers, nutrients

Mineral and natural fertilizers contain macro and microelements, i.e. elements needed for plants to grow properly. Macronutrients are: nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur. They need plants in large quantities. Microelements, i.e. iron, zinc, copper, boron, molybdenum and chlorine are found in trace amounts, but they are no less important. The three basic nutrients important for all plants are: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K).
