The offered blueberry set includes 5 different varieties (one plant of each variety). They were selected to ensure the longest possible fruiting period – from the first weeks of July to the beginning of September, allowing you to enjoy the taste and diversity of the fruit for up to two months each year. The varieties we offer are carefully selected and among the best blueberry varieties, known for their high frost resistance, abundant fruiting, and large, tasty berries.

The set includes the following varieties:

• Darrow (late, beginning of September)

• Chandler (mid-early, from the end of July)

• Patriot (early, end of July)

• Elliot (late, beginning of September)

• Early Blue (early, beginning of July)

Highbush blueberries are shrubs that are easy to grow and highly frost-resistant. For proper growth and abundant fruiting, they should be planted in sunny locations and in light, humus-rich soil with a pH between 3.5 and 4.5. It is recommended to purchase special acidic peat for blueberries or to properly acidify the soil using preparations containing sulfur compounds. Pruning should be carried out only every few years to rejuvenate the plant by removing old shoots and making room for younger, more productive ones.

A few words about the fruit

Highbush blueberry fruits are juicy and very tasty. They have very high nutritional and dietary value. Their high anthocyanin content (the blue pigment) helps support and regenerate human eyesight. Thanks to their high fiber content, they also help improve metabolism. In addition, blueberry fruits have a number of medicinal properties.

Moreover, anthocyanins, together with vitamins A, C, and E, have antioxidant properties, which effectively help prevent cancer and other lifestyle diseases.

Another important component of highbush blueberries is phytoestrogens, which help counteract arteriosclerosis and heart disease and reduce blood cholesterol levels. These and other health benefits of highbush blueberries are why they are often called the fruit of the 21st century.
